ART DIRECTOR LOOKING FOR COMPANY
I recently returned from a 5 month hiatus in Bermuda after closing my studio of 3 years. While there, I gathered my wits and caught my breath. Refreshed and ready to go, I'm back with a renewed creative spirit.
So much so, as the headline points out, I'm looking for work as an art director. It's a great moment in my life for a new direction. I've sold my house, put everything in storage and I'm living out of my suitcase. Yes, I'm willing to relocate for the right position.
To help narrow the field, you should know I have a "shit ton" of passion for what I do. Think about it. That's more than a "Shit load". That's a lot. I don't believe in settling for "it's good enough". One of my favorite quotes comes from Leo Burnett, "When you reach for the stars, you may not quite get one, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either."
I am competitive, and I look forward to the next challenge. I love recognition and awards, but not to the detriment of the message. I believe in the cliche, "garbage in garbage out" when it comes to creative briefs, strategies and objectives. I don't care for communication pieces that are pretty but lack substance. Likewise, a solid message with a poor execution is just as bad. I believe personal preferences should be set aside in order to reach objectives.
These are just a few of the qualities and philosophies I bring to the table. If they're in line with yours we should talk.
